update

Okay, so let's just ignore the fact that it's been a few days since I posted. Otherwise, every blog post will start with the same pitiful apology mingled with excuses.

First of all, let me give you a little update on our family life. Alfredo's father has been here a full week and everything is working out so well. Alfredo is so happy to have him here and we are too. He's kind, courteous and very helpful around the house. And he's so eager to find a job that just a few hours after he arrived last week, he hit the pavement, filling out applications and talking to people. No luck yet and I'm afraid he's getting a little discouraged. Let's pray that something works out for him soon. It'll help buoy his spirits and feel better about this courageous step across country he just made.

Now for something pretty...

I'm making these little valentines as gifts for my friends at Charlotte's class this weekend. I still have a lot to do to finish them up but I think I'll take them with me to work on while riding the train tomorrow morning. My mother and both my sisters are coming too...we're going to have so much fun.

I have more to tell but my hour glass just emptied!

I'm so glad that Alfredo's party was a success. I love the picture of him in the previous post.

I also love your sweet Valentines. Will there be something special tucked inside? They're so pretty.

I'll be praying for Alfredo's father - my husband was out of work for over nine months. It was very discouraging for him and he didn't have the added stress of moving across the country.

I truly enjoy my visits to your blog - it's obvious that you "love this life"!

Have a blessed day!

Dear Alfredo's Dad,

I've been praying for Alfredo off and on ever since he arrived at Rich and Amy's house. What a lucky boy to have you and Rich and Amy....so many people who love him so much!

Alfredo will be so blessed by having you close by. What a difficult decisoin to move across the country....I applaud you! I'll be praying for you and your job search.

Amy,
So good to see you! I am especially glad that everything is working out so well for Alfredo's father. I will pray that he gets a job, also. It is such a hard market still.

Alfredo is so fortunate to have so many people who love him.

Love to you,
Suz

Tell Alfredo's father it's much too soon to get discouraged. My daughter has been struggling in NYC just taking anything to pay the rent. It's really tough. He's not alone, tell him not to give up.

I'm so happy to hear that Alfredo's Dad arrived safely. I'm sure the little guy must be thrilled having you all here for him. Those little Valentine gifties sure are sweet! I'm having my niece over tomorrow for a little love day crafting too. Enjoy Charlotte's class - I'll be thinking of you all. xo

Amy,
I am so proud of you. You are a courageous lady. I have to admit if I were in your shoes I might be a nervous wreck. I am very thankful that everything is working out for you & Alfredo. Your valentines are just adoreable. Have a wonderful day. Hugs to you both.
